MINNEAPOLIS -- Zach Sanders is one of the best wrestlers Minnesota has ever produced. Among his many accomplishments on the mat, he is a four-time NCAA D1 all-American for the University of Minnesota and a five-time MSHSL state champion.
As a graduate student, he remains as dedicated as ever to the sport of wrestling. He continues to train full-time at the Minnesota Training Center with aspirations of winning World Championship and Olympic medals for the United States. This past season he won the Pan American Championships at 57 kg (125.5 lbs) and he recently began this season by defending his third straight title at the Storm Holiday Cup.
Zach talks about his training and the support he has at the Minnesota Training Center in a recent video interview produced by Cole Schrupp. His success on the mat is a testament to the strength of the freestyle program at the MTC.
