Six Storm athletes to compete in Jack Pinto Cup

COLORADO SPRINGS -- The Jack Pinto Cup will debut its new format this weekend in Colorado. Team USA will face off against an all-star selection of international Greco Roman wrestlers on Friday, January 23 in Greeley and again on Sunday, January 25 in Colorado Springs. Each event will feature a separate lineup of U.S. wrestlers and international opponents.



Four athletes from the Minnesota Storm will compete in the first event at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. Ryan Mango (59 kg/130 lbs), Brian Graham (66 kg/145 lbs), Jake Fisher (75 kg/165 lbs), and Joe Rau (80 kg/176 lbs) will be in the lineup for the U.S. Ryan Mango will wrestle in the evening’s main event.


On Sunday, Minnesota Storm’s Andy Bisek (75 kg/165 lbs) and Jordan Holm (85 kg/187 lbs) will be part of a ten-bout international competition held in the Hilton Antler’s ballroom in downtown Colorado Springs. Bisek will compete in the evening’s co-main event alongside 2008 & 2012 Olympian, Spenser Mango (59 kg/130 lbs).

Tickets for Sunday: VIP Table (10 tickets) $1000.00 | General Admission $10.00


Doors open for Sunday’s competition at 1:30 p.m. The event will run from 2-4 p.m.

Greco athletes for the Minnesota Storm are currently at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs participating in their national team training camp. Freestyle athletes for the Storm were at the Olympic Training Center earlier this month for their national team camp.

Both Freestyle and Greco athletes will be in action at the Dave Schultz Memorial International, January 29-30 in Colorado Springs.
