The Jack Pinto Cup has changed formats for 2015. It will include ten bouts of Greco-Roman competition with Team USA taking on The World.
When: January 25, 2015, from 2-4 pm. Doors Open: 1:30 pm.
Where: Antlers Hilton, Colorado Springs, CO
The event will be a dual format with an MMA twist. Each match will be leading up to the Main Event at 75 kg featuring 2014 World Medalist, Andy Bisek. Competing in the Co-Main Event will be 2008 and 2012 Olympian, Spenser Mango at 59 KG. Also competing will be two-time World Team members Jordan Holm (85 kg) and Robbie Smith (130 kg).
During the Jack Pinto Cup there will be a silent auction taking place with MMA and USA Wrestling memorabilia. The proceeds will go to the USA Wrestling Greco-Roman team.
The Jack Pinto Cup began in 2013, in loving memory of six-year-old wrestler Jack Pinto who was tragically killed in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Jack Pinto was a first-year member of both the Newtown Youth Wrestling Association and USA Wrestling.
